Lamar CISD Trustees approve assistant principals |

Lamar CISD’s Board of Trustees approved the hire of four new administrators as the District continues to get ready for the new school year. Kelley Kirila is the new Assistant Principal at Foster High School. She has a bachelor’s in Political Science from Texas State University and earned her master’s in Administration and Supervision from the University of Houston – Victoria. She has five years of teaching experience in Fort Bend ISD. Henva Bhola is the new Assistant Principal at Williams Elementary. She has a bachelor’s in Human Development and Family Studies from the University of Houston and her master’s in Administration and Supervision from the University of Houston-Victoria. She has five years of teaching experience, one year as an Instructional Specialist and five years of administrative experience, all in Houston ISD. Jill Halligan is the new Assistant Principal at Thomas Elementary. She has her bachelor’s in Elementary Education from the University of Northern Iowa and earned her master’s degree in Administration and Supervision from the University of Houston-Victoria. She has six years of teaching and administrative experience in Fort Bend ISD and three years of administrative experience in a private school. William Waddill will be the new Assistant Principal at Velasquez Elementary. He has a bachelor’s in Music from Harding University and his master’s in Administrative and Supervision from the University of Houston. He has seven years of teaching experience in Fort Bend ISD and Lamar CISD, one year of administrative experience in the private sector and three years of administrative experience in Brenham ISD. -30-
